In-development educational reference app
Privacy Policy for Afterfall
Afterfall — The Rebuilding Manual is an educational reference app in development by Stillwater 22 Creative. It is designed to organize essential practical knowledge, saved pages, reading progress, checklists, and personal inventory information for disaster readiness and recovery. This policy describes the app’s planned data practices and will be updated if its features or services change before release.
Information the app may process
Depending on the features included in the released version and the choices a user makes, Afterfall may process:
- saved pages, favourites, article-completion status, reading progress, checklist selections, app settings, and preferences;
- personal inventory entries, notes, item descriptions, quantities, categories, and other information voluntarily entered by the user;
- search terms and navigation activity used within the app to locate manual content;
- support emails or other information a user voluntarily provides when contacting Stillwater 22 Creative;
- technical diagnostics such as crash reports, device type, operating-system version, performance information, and error logs when supplied by the app platform or infrastructure services.
How information may be used
Information may be used to provide and maintain Afterfall’s features, save user-selected content and progress, organize personal inventory entries, respond to support requests, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, protect the app from misuse, and meet legal or app-store requirements.
Local storage and accounts
Afterfall is being designed to keep core reading progress, saved pages, checklists, settings, and personal inventory information on the user’s device where practical. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage may permanently remove locally stored information.
If a future version adds accounts, cloud backup, synchronization, analytics, advertising, subscriptions, or other online services, this policy and the app’s store disclosures will be updated before those features are used.
Sensitive information
Users should avoid entering passwords, financial account information, government identifiers, precise security plans, medical records, or other highly sensitive personal information into notes, checklists, inventory fields, or support messages. Personal inventory information may reveal possessions or preparedness plans and should be protected accordingly.
Permissions
The released app may request only the device permissions needed for features offered at that time. Users can review or revoke permissions through device settings. If storage, camera, notifications, location, or another permission is added, the app will explain its purpose where required.
Data sharing and sale
Stillwater 22 Creative does not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers used to distribute, host, secure, diagnose, or support the app, such as Google Play, hosting providers, email providers, and crash-reporting or infrastructure services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Data retention and deletion
Locally stored app data may remain on the device until the user deletes it, clears the app’s storage, or uninstalls the app. Support correspondence and information handled by service providers may be retained as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal, operational, or backup purposes.
Users may request deletion of applicable information held by Stillwater 22 Creative by emailing stillwater22creative@gmail.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request — Afterfall. Include enough information to identify the relevant support interaction or account, if one exists. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Information stored only on the user’s device is controlled by the user and can generally be removed inside the app, by clearing app storage, or by uninstalling the app. Stillwater 22 Creative cannot delete information it does not receive or control.
Children’s privacy
Afterfall is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Stillwater 22 Creative, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information controlled by Stillwater 22 Creative. No device, app, storage system, or online transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Safety and professional disclaimer
Afterfall is an educational reference and organizational tool. It is not a substitute for emergency services, official evacuation orders, medical diagnosis or treatment, public-health guidance, professional engineering, electrical or construction advice, certified survival training, or instructions from qualified authorities. Users must evaluate conditions, follow applicable laws and official guidance, and seek qualified help for high-risk activities.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Afterfall develops or when its features, service providers, legal requirements, or app-store requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
